Bio-Activity
Recombinant human CD40 Ligand (CD40L/CD154/TRAP) is fully biologically active when compared to standard. The ED50 as determined by the dose-dependant stimulation of IL-12 & IL-8 induction by PMB (Peripheral Mononuclear) cells was found to be 5-10 ng/ml, corresponding to a Specific Activity of 1.0 x 105 IU/mg.

Lyophilized after extensive dialysis against 50 mM Tris-HCl, pH 8.0, 250 mM NaCl
Reconstitution
Reconstitute in sterile 18 MO-cm H2O not less than 100 ug/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Storage
Store lyophilized at room temperature for up to 3 weeks, or preferably at -18°C or below. Store reconstituted at 4°C for up to 1 week. Store at -18°C or below for long term storage. Add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) for long term storage.
