Description
CD74 (also called HLA class II histocompatibility antigen gamma chain), and its associated fragment class-II-associated invariant chain peptide (CLIP), is a receptor for the cytokine macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF). It is involved in MHC class II antigen processing and several key processes of the immune system. CD74 is localized to the cell surface as well as the endoplasmic reticulum and intracellular vesicles of immune cells and macrophages. CD74 is broadly expressed in normal tissues and in a variety of cancers. Antibodies to CD74 can be used to identify B cells in normal and cancer tissues.

Usage
Immunohistochemistry: LS-B1963 was validated for use in immunohistochemistry on a panel of 21 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human tissues after heat induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen. The stained slides were evaluated by a pathologist to confirm staining specificity. The optimal working concentration for LS-B1963 was determined to be 10 ug/ml.
