Specifications

Description
NMDAR1 antibody LS-C124276 is an unconjugated rabbit monoclonal antibody to NMDAR1 (GRIN1) (aa930-959) from rat. It is reactive with human, mouse, rat and other species. Validated for IHC and WB.
Target
Rat GRIN1 / NMDAR1
Synonyms
GRIN1 | GluN1 | NMDAR1 | NR1 | MRD8 | NMD-R1 | NMDA receptor A1 | NMDA1 | NR1a | GluR zeta 1 | N-methyl-D aspartate receptor
Host
Rabbit
Reactivity
Rat, Human, Monkey, Mouse, Hamster (tested or 100% immunogen sequence identity)
Clonality
IgG Monoclonal
Conjugations
Unconjugated
Purification
Tissue culture supernatant
Modifications
Unmodified
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide LQNQKDTVLPRRAIEREEGQLQLCSRHRES corresponding to aa909-938 from the C-Terminus of rat NMDA receptor subunit. Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Human, Chimpanzee, Gorilla, Gibbon, Monkey, Marmoset, Mouse, Rat, Hamster (100%); Panda, Dog, Horse, Opossum (93%).
Epitope
aa930-959
Specificity
Recognizes rat splice variants NR1-1a, NR1-1b, NR1-2a, NR1-2b at ~120kD. These appear to be the major splice variants expressed in rat brain. Reactivity in mouse is weak. No cross-reaction with other glutamate receptor subunits. Species sequence homology: monkey, gerbil, rabbit, feline and fish.
Applications
  • IHC (1:1000 - 1:2000)
  • Western blot (1:1000 - 1:2000)
Performing IHC? See our complete line of Immunohistochemistry Reagents including antigen retrieval solutions, blocking agents ABC Detection Kits and polymers, biotinylated secondary antibodies, substrates and more.
Usage
Suitable for use in Western blot and Immunohistochemistry. Western Blot: 1:1000-1:2000 using ECL on rat brain lysate. Labels a single band at approximately 120kD corresponding to NMDAR1 in rat brain lysate. Immunohistochemistry: 1:1000-1:2000 with light microscopy. Tested with 4% paraformaldehyde or paraformaldehyde/glutaraldehyde fixed rat tissue.
Presentation
0.05% Sodium Azide
Storage
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid freeze-thaw cycles, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for up to 1 year at -20°C.
