Immunogen
Synthetic peptide corresponding to the consensus GSK3 phosphorylation site (aa29-49, CGG-SYLDSGIHSGATTTAPSLSGK) of human b-Catenin (KLH coupled). Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Human, Gorilla, Orangutan, Gibbon, Monkey, Marmoset, Mouse, Rat, Hamster, Elephant, Panda, Dog, Bat, Bovine, Horse, Pig, Opossum, Turkey, Chicken, Platypus, Xenopus, Salmon, Pufferfish, Zebrafish (100%); Stickleback (90%).
Epitope
aa29-49
Specificity
Recognizes b-Catenin, Mr 92kD. Species cross-reactivity: Human, bovine, rat, rabbit and mouse.
Applications
  • ICC (1 - 5 µg/ml)
  • Western blot (0.1 - 2 µg/ml)
  • Immunoprecipitation
Usage
WB: Detects b-catenin in an A431 total cell lysate. A431 total cell lysate was resolved by electrophoresis, transferred to nitrocellulose, and probed with anti-b-Catenin (0.1 ug/ml). Proteins were visualized using a goat anti-rabbit IgG labeled with HRP and a chemiluminescence detection system. ICC: Demonstrates positive immunostaining for b-catenin at cell-cell junctions of A431 cells fixed with 4% paraformaldehyde and permeabilized with 0.25% Triton X-100. IP: 4ug immunoprecipitates b-Catenin from 500ug of A431 membrane fraction lysate.
Presentation
0.1 M Tris-Glycine, pH 7.4, 0.15 M NaCl, 0.05% Sodium Azide, 30% Glycerol
