Specificity
Recognizes BLyS (also known as BAFF, TALL-1 and THANK), a novel member of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) superfamily. BLyS (B lymphocyte stimulator) and its receptor TACI/BCMA are involved in the development of autoimmune diseases. BlyS has been shown to activate NFkB and JNK (c-jun N-terminal kinase) and induce apoptosis. Species cross-reactivity: mouse, human, rat.
