tdTomato

tdTomato Fluorescent Protein

tdTomato is a bright orange fluorescent protein derived from Discosoma sp. It can be used as an effective alternative to green fluorescent protein for cell labeling. tdTomato does not necessitate tissue fixation, and thus it can be used for simultaneous detection of fluorescent protein alongside fluorescence IHC (PMID 20109099).
