Catalytically inactive phosphatase. Acts as a nuclear anchor for MAPK1/MAPK3 (ERK1/ERK2). Modulates cell-fate decisions and cell migration by spatiotemporal regulation of MAPK1/MAPK3 (ERK1/ERK2). Seems to play a role in spermiogenesis.
