IL17B

interleukin 17B

IL17B is a T cell-derived cytokine that shares sequence similarity with IL17. This cytokine was reported to stimulate the release of TNF alpha (TNF) and IL1 beta (IL1B) from a monocytic cell line. Immunohistochemical analysis of several nerve tissues indicated that this cytokine is primarily localized to neuronal cell bodies.

Gene Name: interleukin 17B
Family/Subfamily: Interleukin
Synonyms: IL17B, Cytokine Zcyto7, Cytokine-like protein ZCYTO7, IL-17B, Interleukin 17B, Interleukin 20, Interleukin-17 beta, Interleukin-17B, NIRF, Interleukin-20, ZCYTO7
Target Sequences: NM_014443 NP_055258.1 Q9UHF5
