Kiwellin (Act d 5) is a very abundant protein found in kiwi fruits and in the cell walls of plants. Plants use Kiwellin to fight against fungal infenctions via its ability to block the enzymatic activity of fungal effector enzymes (doi: 10.1038/d41586-019-00092-2). It is an allergen recognized by IgE in humans. All LSBio Kiwellin products are intended for research use only.
