Bio-Activity
Bioactivity was verified by adding 200 ng of recombinant purified EFEMP1-myc to cultured glioma cells (CNS-1 rat glioma cell line) for 6 hours, the measuring expression levels of metalloproteases MMP2 and MMP9 by quantitative RT-PCR. Results showed increased expression, in agreement with published results from Hu. et. al. (Mol. Cancer Res. (2009) 7:1756-1770).
