Expression System
E. coli
Purification
Greater than 95% by SDS-PAGE
Bio-Activity
Specific activity is > 0.5 units/ml and was obtained by measuring the increase of NADP in absorbance at 340 nm resulting from the reduction of NAD. One unit will oxidize 1.0 umole of acetaldehyde to acetic acid per minute at pH 8.0 at 25C in the presence of beta-NAD, potassium and thiols.
Presentation
20 mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0) containing 10% glycerol, 0.1M NaCl.
Storage
Short term: store at 2°C to 8°C for up to 1 week. Long term: aliquot and store at -20°C to -80°C. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
