Tachykinin Receptor 1 (TACR1) is involved in the mediation of phosphatidylinositol metabolism by the tachykinin substance P, also referred to as neurokinin 1. TACR1 is associated with the management of depression, anxiety, and stress. It is furtehr involved in regulating behavioral responses, neuronal survival, and cardiovascular and respiratory functions. In disease, TACR1 is implicated in the progression of rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis.
