Target
Gracilaria RPE
Synonyms
RPE | Ribulose-phosphate 3-epimerase | RPE2-1
Reactivity
Gracilaria
(tested or 100% immunogen sequence identity)
Conjugations
Tetramethyl Rhodamine Iso-Thiocyanate
Purification
Affinity chromatography
Immunogen
This affinity purified antibody was prepared from whole goat serum produced by repeated immunizations with highly purified R-Phycoerythrin from the seaweed gracilaria.
Specificity
Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Goat Serum and R-Phycoerythrin conjugated IgG. This antibody will cross react with B-Phycoerythrin. Reactivity with other phycobiliproteins is unknown.
Applications
- Immunofluorescence (1:500 - 1:2500)
- Flow Cytometry
Usage
Suitable for immunomicroscopy and flow cytometry or FACS analysis as well as other antibody based fluorescent assays requiring lot-to-lot consistency. R-Phycoerythrin (240 kD) is a labile molecule that may dissociate into components upon exposure to reducing or denaturing agents. Reaction with low molecular weight fragments is typically noted by western blot. The applications listed have been tested for the unconjugated form of this product. Other forms have not been tested.
Presentation
Lyophilized from 10 mg/mL BSA (Protease and Ig free), 0.02 M Potassium Phosphate, pH 7.2, 0.15 M NaCl, 0.01% Thimerosal
Reconstitution
Reconstitute in 1 mL of deionized water.
