The antibody was developed by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 240-254 of the Anthrax PA protein (~83 kD).
Epitope
aa240-254
Specificity
PA is cleaved from the 83 kD form to the 63 kD form at amino acids 164-167. Thus the (made against amino acids 240-254) should recognize both the 83 kD and 63 kD PA forms, but not the 20 kD cleavage fragment.
