The applications listed have been tested for the unmodified form of this product. Other forms have not been tested. Nucleolin (NCL) is the major nucleolar phosphoprotein of growing eukaryotic cells. It is located mainly in dense fibrillar regions of the nucleolus. NCL is found associated with intranucleolar chromatin and pre-ribosomal particles. It induces chromatin decondensation by binding to histone H1. It is thought to play a role in pre-rRNA transcription and ribosome assembly. Titering of the Nucleolin antibody may be required for optimal performance. FFPE testing requires sections to be boiled in pH6 10mM citrate buffer for 10-20 minutes, followed by cooling at RT for 20 minutes, prior to staining.
