Specificity
Mouse Melanocortin receptor 2 (MC2-R or ACTH-R) is a 296 aa transmembrane protein belonging to the family of G-Protein coupled receptors. It is a receptor for ACTH. It is found in melanocyte and corticoadrenal tissues. Defects in insensitivity or resistance to ACTH and characterized by progressive primary adrenal insufficiency, without mineralocorticoid deficiency.
