Epitope

Specificity
Reactive with epidermal cells in uppermost suprabasal layers including scalp, foot and sole. Recognizes individual cells within epidermis of tongue and mamille (co-localization with cytokeratin 10). Reactive on hyperkeratosis of diverse viral and genetic origin. Does not cross-react with palate cytokeratin 2p. Species cross-reactivity: Human. Bovine: Positive with calf hoof epidermis, snooze epithelium. Negative with tongue epithelium. Mouse/rat: Heterogeneously positive with foot sole epidermis only. Negative with epidermis of other body sites.

Usage
Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry. Excellent marker to study terminal epidermal differentiation. Immunohistochemistry: 1:100. Note: Paraffin sections require antigen retrieval with microwave. Frozen sections require antigen retrieval by pretreatment with PBS, 0.2% Triton-X100 for 5 minutes. Immunohistochemistry: 1:200 (PAP/ABC). Immunofluorescence: 1:200. Western Blot: 1:200 (alkaline phosphatase). Western Blot: 1:60000 (ECL).
