Specificity
Is specific to 50 kD cytokeratin protein designated cytokeratin 14. Cytokeratin 14 belongs to the type A (acidic) subfamily of low MW cytokeratins and exists in combination with cytokeratin 15. This antibody can be useful to distinguish stratified epithelial cells from simple epithelial cells.

Usage
Use of the antibody for IHC with formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissues requires HIER with 10 mM citrate buffer pH 6.0 or 1 mM EDTA pH 8.0 before immunostaining.
