This affinity purified antibody was prepared from whole goat serum produced by repeated immunizations with a synthetic peptide corresponding to the N-Terminal region near aa 1-25 of Human AP2A1 and AP2A2 proteins.

A BLAST analysis was used to suggest reactivity with AP2A1 and AP2A2 protein from human, chimpanzee, orangutan, mouse, rat, chicken and dog based on 100% homology for the immunogen sequence. Cross reactivity with AP2A proteins from other sources is not known.

Immunohistochemistry: LS-B427 was validated for use in immunohistochemistry on a panel of 21 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human tissues after heat induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen. The stained slides were evaluated by a pathologist to confirm staining specificity. The optimal working concentration for LS-B427 was determined to be 2.5 ug/ml.
