(tested or 100% immunogen sequence identity)
Immunogen
Achlya ambisexualis (water mold) Hsp90.
Specificity
Identifies purified bovine and human (alpha and beta) Hsp90 and detects a 90kD protein, corresponding to the apparent molecular mass of Hsp90 on SDS-PAGE immunoblots, in samples from human, mouse, rat, beluga, bovine, canine, C. elegans, chicken, fish (brook trout, carp, chinook salmon, chum salmon, medaka, rainbow trout), guinea pig, hamster, lobster, monkey, mussel, porcine, rabbit, scallop, sheep and water mold. Reacts with rodent glucocorticoid receptor, 95kD. Also reacts with proteins called proliferation potential proteins (P2PS), ~30-40kD. These proteins are associated with the 30-40S substructures of nuclear hnRNP complexes and they share an epitope in common with Hsp90. The epitope has been mapped to amino acids 604-697 of the human Hsp90 sequence. Detects both Hsp90 alpha and beta.
