A 13 AA peptide sequence within the 2nd cytoplasmic domain (between 2nd and 3rd transmembrane domain) of Mouse Cx50 (2) was used to generate anti-Mouse Cx50. Peptide was coupled to KLH (carrier protein).

Specificity
Recognizes mouse Connexin 50 (CX50, Gap Junction Alpha 8 Protein, CXA-8, Lens Fiber Protein MP70). Species sequence homology: rat 100%. No reactivity observed with other connexins.

- ELISA (1:10)
Usage
Suitable for use in Western Blot and ELISA. Western Blot: 1-10 ug/ml using Chemiluminescence technique. The antibodies detected proteins of ~63-65kD in rat lens. The same set of bands were detected by anti-MP70. ELISA: 1:10K-100K using 50-100 ng of the control peptide per well.
