A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence in the middle region of human EDA(254-269 aa HLQGQGSAIQVKNDLS), identical to the related mouse and rat sequences.
Specificity
Not abundant; expressed in specific cell types of ectodermal (but not mesodermal) origin of keratinocytes, hair follicles, sweat glands. Also in adult heart, liver, muscle, pancreas, prostate, fetal liver, uterus, small intestine and umbilical chord. .
Presentation
Lyophilized from 0.2mg Na2HPO4, 5mg BSA, 0.9mg NaCl, 0.05mg Thimerosal, 0.05mg sodium azide.
Reconstitution
Add 0.2ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500µg/ml.
Storage
At -20°C for 1 year. After reconstitution, at 4°C for 1 month. It can also be aliquotted and stored frozen at -20°C for a longer time. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
