Specificity
Recognizes the 44kD antigen found on a sub-population of T-cells and activated B cells. These CD28+ CD8 cells are now known to be cytotoxic T-cell precursors. Does not react with B cells, granulocytes or monocytes. Species cross-reactivity: No cross-reactivity with canine tissues.

Usage
Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, T cell proliferation and in cell stimulation studies where it has been suggested that measuring T cell function in HIV infected asymptomatic patients may be an early indicator of AIDS, independent of CD4+ cell counts.
