Specificity
Recognizes 17 beta-estradiol, a mammalian estrogenic hormone. 17 beta-estradiol is produced in the ovaries, placenta and testis and has a role in normal sexual development and the regulation of the menstrual cycle. The following cross reactivites of Sheep anti 17-beta-estradiol have been observed: 17-beta Estradiol, 100%; Oestrone, 14%; Oestriol, 5%; Aldosterone, Cortisol, Corticosterone, DHEA, Deoxycorticosterone, Pregnenolone, Progesterone, 17OH-P and Testosterone all <0.01%.
