Growth hormone from ovine pituitary.
Specificity
Recognizes human growth hormone (GH), which acts to control body growth and metabolic activity. Growth hormone is a small peptide hormone released by the anterior pituitary under the control of the hypothalamus. In Western blotting a band of approximately 20 kD is seen using lysates of human pituitary gland.
